A new trailer for Disney+’s upcoming series The Book of Boba Fett shows Boba Fett (Temuera Morrison) reclaiming his iconic starship. The Book of Boba Fett is the first of several shows that will spin off from The Mandalorian, all of which are planned to culminate in what has been described as a climactic story event. Synopses for the show reveal that Fett is looking to reclaim territory previously ruled over by Jabba the Hutt, who died several years prior at the hands of Leia Organa (Carrie Fisher) in 1983’s Return of the Jedi. Although The Book of Boba Fett is technically considered a spinoff from The Mandalorian, it will follow up on story threads nearly four decades in the making.
When Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) runs into Boba Fett for the first time in The Mandalorian season 2, the iconic bounty hunter has already acquired his iconic starship (previously known as Slave I but now called Firespray). However, the lack of context between Fett’s defeat in Return of the Jedi and his return in The Mandalorian left fans speculating over how he escaped from the Sarlacc Pit’s maw, as well as how he recovered his ship. It seems that The Book of Boba Fett will fill some of these gaps in the lore.
A new trailer shows Fett and his partner, Fennec Shand (Ming-Na Wen) seemingly recovering his derelict starship from a darkened hanger. Although The Book of Boba Fett has been described as season 2.5 of The Mandalorian, it seems that the spinoff will include flashbacks from further back in the show’s chronology as evidenced by Fett’s lack of armor. The Real Problem With HBO’s Canceled $30 Million Game of Thrones Prequel
HBO lost $30 million on a canceled Game of Thrones prequel, but the series had an unavoidable issue from the start. Game of Thrones‘ final season didn’t go as planned for HBO, with story issues and production problems overshadowing Westeros’ much-hyped battle with the undead White Walkers. Fans and critics complained about everything from the episodes being too dark to modern water bottles appearing in the background of scenes. The show’s final episodes received so much fan backlash that they even inspired a viral petition to redo season 8, and the negativity found its way into the cast’s WhatsApp group chat.
HBO has several Game of Thrones spinoffs and prequel shows in the works, including the upcoming House of the Dragon. The series, which takes place around 200 years before Game of Thrones, tells the bloody history of House Targaryen. The first trailer for the series introduced several key players fans should know. For instance, Paddy Considine’s King Viserys Targaryen, Emma D’Arcy’s Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen, and Olivia Cooke’s Alicent Hightower were all featured. However, Matt Smith’s Daemon Targaryen steals the show in the teaser, hinting in narration that he may make a play for power in Westeros.
HBO’s canceled Game of Thrones prequel cost the network millions, but it always had a looming problem. The series, which author George R.R. Martin had a hand in, was set to take place thousands of years before the events of Game of Thrones, recounting the origins of the White Walkers and the legendary history of Westeros. The show also had star power, with Naomi Watts hired to front the series. But, unfortunately, season 8 soured fans on a White Walker origin story, so an entire series on the creatures didn’t make people particularly excited.
Game of Thrones season 8 tanked HBO’s prequel before it even began. Ahead of season 8, HBO endlessly promoted an impending battle with the White Walkers in its marketing and trailers, hinting that the conflict would take center stage in the final season. Then, in one stab of Arya Stark’s (Maisie Williams) dagger, the Night King (Vladimír Furdík) was dead, and the White Walker threat was over. HBO’s choice to breeze by the White Walkers irked fans since the show had teased the battle for years. However, the move also proved that the White Walkers’ motivations and true intentions didn’t matter. Arya didn’t just kill the White Walkers with her dagger. She killed any reason for the Game of Thrones prequel.
HBO knew just any prequel wouldn’t work following Game of Thrones‘ criticism. Ahead of season 8, it appeared Game of Thrones could do no wrong in the network’s eyes, but the final season gave a harsh reality check. And in James Andrew Miller’s new book, Tinderbox: HBO’s Ruthless Pursuit of New Frontiers, former WarnerMedia chairman Bob Greenblatt said he saw a cut of the prequel and didn’t think it delivered on the promise of the original series. So it’s clear the canceled Game of Thrones prequel had structure issues regardless of its story, but its premise had it doomed from the start.

Riders Republic: Combos Guide (Tips, Tricks, & Strategies)
In Riders Republic, players can achieve incredibly high trick scores for performing combo maneuvers. Combos in Riders Republic involve players combining several tricks into one maneuver, thus creating a trick all its own. While doing a huge backflip, or 360 spin down a cliffside, will net players a solid number of points, combining these tricks with another trick will send players’ points meter to the peak of the mountaintop.
When players first begin Riders Republic, they will have to get used to using the basic controls of each of the game’s sports. Air sports, such as wingsuits and rocket jetpacks, do not necessarily have any tricks available to them, just the basic maneuvers that players can use to navigate the map quicker. The rest of the sports, however, have a plethora of tricks for players to utilize in their runs.
Snowboarding, skiing, and mountain biking all have different trick setups for players to master. Getting started in Riders Republic requires players to learn all the basic maneuvers for each sport. Snowboarding and skiing require players to have their feet strapped to the board or skis, so their trick setups correspond with each other. Mountain bikes have a different trick setup since players can use the bike to do tricks like tailwhips and Supermans, which take players’ feet of the bike. All the grab tricks and bike maneuvers are performed using different variations of the triggers combined with different directions on the sticks. For instance, on a bike, pushing the stick toward the right while holding the right trigger will perform a Can-Can right.
Unlike wingsuits and rocket jetpacks, which must be unlocked with Riders Republic stars, ground sports are available from the beginning of the game. When playing any of the three ground sports, spins are performed using various face buttons in different successions. Right spins, left spins, front flips, backflips, and the basic rotation tricks. Using different combinations of face buttons will perform mixed rotation tricks. For instance, on PlayStation, pressing X to jump and pressing Square in the air will perform a Left Rodeo spin, which is a combination of a flip and a spin. On Xbox, a left rodeo is performed by pushing A and then X in the air. Combo tricks are performed by combing grab tricks/bike maneuvers with spins, flips, and other tricks.
Players must initiate a spin or flip, then transition to a grab trick while in the air to perform a combo trick. Similarly, players can initiate a grab trick and transition to another grab trick or maneuver to create a combo trick. All sorts of trick combinations are possible in Riders Republic; learn the basic trick maneuvers, then combine them together in-air to create combos that earn players ridiculously high trick scores.
Riders Republic is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Stadia, and PC.

Why Harley Quinn’s Perfect DCEU Return Is Batgirl | Screen Rant
HBO Max’s Batgirl movie is the perfect place for Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn to return to the DC Extended Universe. The upcoming movie starring Leslie Grace as Barbara Gordon is confirmed to be connected to the wider universe with J.K. Simmons returning as Jim Gordon. While there are also rumors about Batman appearing in Batgirl, the movie’s villain will be a new addition to the DCEU, as Brendan Fraser plays Firefly. However, Batgirl is also the perfect place for Harley Quinn’s DCEU return.
Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn made her DCEU debut in 2016 with Suicide Squad. Despite the mixed response to David Ayer’s movie, general audiences and critics alike agreed that Harley Quinn was the film’s shining star. It led the studios to develop multiple movies that could bring Robbie back in a bigger role, which led to Birds of Prey (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn). The movie brought Harley back as part of a team-up with other DC female characters like Black Canary and Huntress before she returned for The Suicide Squad. James Gunn’s movie left Harley Quinn’s DCEU future up in the air, and it isn’t confirmed what will come next for her.
With multiple upcoming DCEU projects in development, it will only be a matter of time before Margot Robbie plays Harley Quinn again, but Batgirl is the perfect place for her next appearance. The DCEU has quickly transformed Harley into more of an anti-hero than a villain, but it is important to remember the character was created as a new Batman villain in Batman: The Animated Series. Harley briefly had the chance to be a Batman villain in Suicide Squad, but the Dark Knight isn’t expected to be a major part of the DCEU’s future. It would then make sense for Harley to be slightly repositioned and become one of Batgirl’s earliest villains
Beyond Harley Quinn’s connection to Batman, it would also be understandable for her to be in Batgirl specifically of all other DCEU projects. Prior to her incarceration for The Suicide Squad, Harley was last seen causing trouble in Gotham City. Since The Suicide Squad‘s ending left Harley free to go wherever she wanted, a return to Gotham wouldn’t be too surprising. Whether as a result of her own actions or her association with the Joker, Harley Quinn is certainly someone Barbara Gordon would be aware of. Her return to Gotham could then make her someone Batgirl goes after and attempts to take down once and for all.
Harley Quinn’s DCEU return in Batgirl could then set her up for appearances in multiple other projects. There are rumors that Jurnee Smollet-Bell will appear in the movie to set up the HBO Max Black Canary film, which Harley would be a natural fit for as well. This could even pave the way for Warner Bros. and DC Films to lay the foundation for a solo show or movie for Harley Quinn on the streaming service.
